This was book week...and it was busy. Every day they would pick a time and ring a bell so the kids would "drop everything and read" for 15 minutes. I was surprised at how much they really liked this. But then again...it did put off math a few times...
On Friday we held a contest with all of Primary to see who could look most like their favorite book character. Most of the girls dressed up...had lots of Babysitters from Babysitter's Club. But three of my brave boys also decided they were "cool" enough to dress up. although...one was Froto and got to carry a sword, another a musketeer...also with sword, and the third was Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. so altogether....they had fun.
I was Caddie Woodlawn. Mostly because she has red hair...and all I really did was put on an apron and braid my hair.

There was some good idea though. My winner for grade 5 was Harini who dressed up as the Pied Piper. So cute!
Delicia is the woman from It takes a Village. We had fun wrapping her pretend baby in the Obama kanga...yup all over they have pics of Obama. I neeed to do an Obama blog. You would not believe how much people love him here....
Michelle was Clifford the Big Red Dog. ...
And Carley was "The Woman who ate a fly"
The things you have to go through to teach Primary!! (aka Elementary)

Juli, I didn't know you had a blog so when i got the nesletter in the msil today from your mom and read about it, I went to it and enjoyed reading what I guess is months worth of information about your time in Tanzania. I do not know your e-mail address - the letter says to e-mail you but we can't. We do pray for you regularly, especially when we were in less than stellar accomodations in Hawaii recently, without heat or drinkable water, and I thought of you! It has been great to read about your activities and kids.
